SubControl Privacy Policy

SubControl is designed to be local-first and privacy-first. Your subscription data stays on your device unless you choose to export it or create an encrypted backup.
Information We Do Not Collect
SubControl does not require an account, does not use bank login, does not connect to financial institutions, does not use analytics SDKs, does not show ads, and does not sell personal data.
Information Stored On Your Device
SubControl may store subscription information locally on your device, including:
- Subscription names
- Prices and currencies you manually enter
- Billing cycles and renewal dates
- Categories and reminder settings
- App preferences and Pro status information
Local Notifications
SubControl may schedule local notifications for renewal reminders or monthly recap reminders if you enable them. These notifications are generated locally on your device.
CSV Export
If you choose to export CSV data, SubControl creates a file from your local subscription data and lets you share it using your device’s share sheet. You control where that file is sent or saved.
Encrypted Backup And Restore
If you create an encrypted backup, SubControl encrypts your local data before the backup leaves your device. Your backup password is not stored by SubControl and cannot be recovered by us.
In-App Purchases
SubControl may offer optional in-app purchases for Pro access. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. SubControl does not collect payment card information.
Cancellation Guides And External Links
SubControl may show cancellation instructions and links to official service websites. SubControl provides instructions only and does not cancel subscriptions automatically.
Data Deletion
You can delete subscriptions inside the app. You can also remove SubControl from your device to delete locally stored app data, subject to your device backup settings.
Children
SubControl is not intended for children under 13.
